Cookie Policy

Effective: October 2, 2026
Last updated: October 14, 2026

Purpose of this policy

This Cookie Policy explains cookies, browser storage, and related technologies used in connection with the Granthill Network website. It distinguishes the site’s own preference feature from technical functions that may be provided by its hosting platform. It should be read alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers personal information in business communications and consulting relationships.

The website presents information about our IT transition consulting services. Its pages do not add optional analytics tools, advertising pixels, social-media tracking widgets, or visitor profiling. The specific cookies present on a Shopify-hosted version can depend on the active theme, platform settings, and enabled features.

What cookies do

A cookie is a small record that a website asks a browser to retain. Some cookies help a website recognize a session or remember a necessary setting. Other cookies can be used to measure browsing behavior or support advertising. The purpose of a cookie matters more than its name alone.

Cookies can be associated with the website being visited or with a third-party domain involved in a page request. A first-party cookie is not automatically necessary, and a third-party cookie is not automatically used for advertising. This policy describes the purposes relevant to our site rather than treating every cookie alike.

Cookies, local storage, and cached assets

Browser local storage is a separate technology that allows a site to keep a small preference record in the browser. Unlike an ordinary cookie, that record is not automatically included with every page request. Our preference feature uses local storage to remember the cookie-notice choice.

Images, fonts, and other page assets may also be cached by the browser to support efficient loading. Browser history and autofill settings are separate again. Deleting a cookie does not necessarily remove local storage, cached files, or autofill information; your browser’s site-data controls determine which items are cleared.

The page typefaces are supplied through Google Fonts. Loading a font involves a request from your browser to the font provider, and the downloaded files may be cached. The font integration on these pages does not add an advertising or visitor-analytics tool. Technical requests for fonts are separate from the local cookie-notice preference.

Our necessary preference record

The site’s own browser-storage entry remembers that you have made a choice about the cookie notice so the same notice does not need to interrupt every visit. It contains the preference or acknowledgment required for that function. It does not contain inquiry text, your name, email address, organization, or selected consulting service.

This record is used for privacy-choice administration and is not an advertising identifier. Our site features do not use it to connect your visits to a consulting engagement or to build a profile across unrelated websites. Removing it causes the preference feature to treat the browser as having no saved choice.

Necessary platform functions

On a Shopify-hosted website, the platform may set cookies that support security, session handling, localization, or other enabled functionality. Commerce or account features, if enabled, can involve additional technical cookies for those features. Their presence depends on the actual site configuration and the functions you use.

These platform records are distinct from our local preference entry. We do not assume that every cookie described in Shopify’s general documentation is active on this website. A cookie associated with an unused account or checkout feature is not presented here as a feature that Granthill Network requires you to use.

Optional analytics and advertising

Granthill Network’s website pages have no optional analytics or advertising integration configured. We do not use these pages to conduct retargeting, monitor your activity across other websites, or turn your project requirements into an advertising audience. Choosing to read service information does not sign you up for an advertising program.

Shopify settings, themes, and separately installed applications can affect platform-level behavior. If an optional integration is introduced, its purpose and applicable choices must be described and any legally required consent obtained. An acknowledgment of this policy is not blanket permission for future tracking technologies.

Preference controls and consent

The cookie-notice control records your preference for the site’s necessary storage. Because the site’s pages have no optional tracking category enabled, the preference does not activate an analytics or advertising service. Necessary technical operations and optional tracking should be assessed according to their actual purposes and the law that applies.

If you want to remove a stored choice, clear the site’s browser data and revisit the website. Where the hosted site provides additional Shopify privacy controls, those controls may apply to platform-managed choices. A browser-level block can also prevent a preference from being saved.

How long browser records remain

Some cookies are associated with a browsing session, while others remain until their configured expiry or until removed. Platform cookie durations can change with the feature and provider configuration. The duration of each record is determined by the function and its active configuration.

The local preference record can remain across visits until it is removed by the browser, cleared by you, or replaced by the site’s preference feature. Local storage itself does not supply a universal automatic expiry period. Private browsing and browser storage policies may handle the record differently from ordinary browsing.

Managing browser data

Most browsers provide settings to inspect or remove data for a specific website, block cookies, or limit third-party storage. Look for settings named privacy, cookies, permissions, or site data. To reset our notice preference, remove the website’s local storage as well as any cookies you wish to clear.

Clearing all browser data can also remove preferences for other websites. If you only intend to reset this site, use the browser’s site-specific controls where available. Browser settings may differ between desktop and mobile versions and may be affected by organization-managed device policies.

Effect of blocking storage

Reading public service information does not require an account. Blocking our local preference storage may cause the cookie notice to reappear because the site cannot remember the earlier choice. Blocking necessary platform cookies can affect particular security, session, or enabled platform functions.

A missing saved preference does not create permission for optional tracking. Changes to browser settings are your choice; the practical result depends on which storage categories are blocked. If a feature behaves unexpectedly, you can inspect its site permissions or ask us about the relevant website function.

Device and browser differences

A locally saved preference generally applies to the browser and site location where it was recorded. It is not a consulting account setting and is not automatically synchronized by Granthill Network across your devices. Another browser or a cleared profile may therefore show the notice again.

Browser synchronization, autofill, extensions, and privacy tools operate under their own settings. We do not control storage created independently by your browser or extensions. Be particularly careful about retained autofill and history when using a shared or organization-managed device.

Technical requests and privacy signals

Removing cookies does not prevent all technical information from being processed when a page is requested. A hosting system still needs to handle the request to return the page, and security controls may process request information. The Privacy Policy describes this distinction without treating necessary network delivery as an advertising activity.

Some browsers offer signals intended to communicate privacy choices. Their effect depends on the applicable legal requirement and the active platform integration. Our website pages do not use advertising or optional analytics that such a signal would enable or disable. Applicable opt-out duties remain relevant if the website’s practices change.

Changes and further information

We may update this policy when the website’s storage behavior, hosting features, or applicable requirements change. The revision date identifies the current version. If a new optional category is added, appropriate information and controls should accompany it before it operates where consent is required.

For a question about a particular record, include its name, the page where it appeared, and the approximate time observed, if available. Do not send a full browser export, account credentials, or unredacted records from other websites. This allows a focused review while avoiding unnecessary disclosure.
